Worlds Apart.

by on Oct.24, 2017, under him, I let my heart wonder, quote

Courage is not something that makes you fearless, it’s what empowers you to face whatever awaits you ahead, even death.

Kindness is not something you give when you have everything, it’s the willingness to give everything when you have nothing.

Love is not just something you feel with the ones you see, hear, and touch everyday, it’s the eternal existence of those who are even worlds apart.

But you want to know what really takes courage?
Keeping your mouth shut, no matter what you might be feeling.
Holding it all together when the stakes are this high.

Do not say this oath thoughtlessly…

by on Aug.12, 2016, under film, quote

Joker: Question! Would you die for me?
Harley Quinn: Yes.
Joker: That’s too easy. Would you… would you live for me? Hmm?
Harley Quinn: Yes.
Joker: Careful. Do not say this oath thoughtlessly! Desire becomes surrender. Surrender becomes power. You want this?
Harley Quinn: I do.
Joker: Say it. Say it. Say it! Pretty pretty pretty pretty…
Harley Quinn: Please?
Joker: God, you’re so good.

so i hear they sing.

by on Dec.15, 2015, under poetry, quote

Here, here will I remain
With worms that are thy chamber maids.
Oh, here
Will I set up my everlasting rest,
And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars
From this world-wearied flesh.
Eyes, look your last.
Arms, take your last embrace.
And, lips, O you
The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss
A dateless bargain
to engrossing death.
Come, bitter conduct,
come, unsavoury guide.
Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on
The dashing rocks
thy seasick, weary bark.
Here’s to my love…..

The Art of Losing

by on Jun.02, 2015, under film, quote

Good morning. It’s an honor to be here.
The poet Elizabeth Bishoponce wrote:
‘the Art of Losing isn’t hard to master:
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.’

I’m not a poet,
I am a person living with Early Onset Alzheimer’s,
and as that person I find myself learning the art of losing every day.
Losing my bearings,
losing objects,
losing sleep,
but mostly
losing memories…

It was the best of times,

by on Apr.05, 2014, under quote, reading

It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light,
it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair,
we had everything before us,
we had nothing before us,
we were all going direct to Heaven,
we were all going direct the other way

– A tale of two cities / Charles Dickens

the dream is within you

by on Oct.03, 2013, under Daily, People, quote

Nothing is as real as a dream.
The world can change around you,
but your dream will not.
Responsibilities need not erase it.
Duties need not obscure it.
Because the dream is within you,
no one can take it away.

R.I.P Tom Clancy
